Domaine de Garenaud is located within the picturesque commune of Montazels. A sleepy village of just 475 inhabitants. During the warm evenings of summer why not join the villagers in a game of boule.
There are numerous social functions culminating in the annual street party in August, a fantastic opportunity to meet your Mayor and the other locals. Perhaps after lunch and a glass or two of wine you may join the villagers and take a dip in the fountain in the main square and be initiated into the village way of life!
The neighbouring village of Esperaza is also a short stroll away. With a population of a little over 2000, it is altogether a more vibrant place. As well as a good selection of shops and services, it has a number of bars and restaurants for you to enjoy. Hat and Dinosaur museums, schools, dentists, doctors, chemists and a station with direct links to Limoux and Carcassonne.
Esperaza is also renowned for its vibrant market in the main square every Sunday.
